AYURVIDYA HEALTH PROGRAMME PROMOTES HOLISTIC WELLNESS AT BAHAI SCHOOL TADONG

To promote preventive healthcare and holistic well-being among students, the Department of AYUSH, Government of Sikkim, successfully conducted the 'AYURVIDYA' School Health Programme at Bahai Senior Secondary School, Tadong.

Led by Dr. Shireen Sharma (Ayurveda) and Dr. Swekritee Chettri (Homoeopathy) from the 10-Bedded AYUSH Hospital, Sochakgang, the interactive sessions educated students on healthy lifestyle practices, balanced nutrition, personal hygiene, and stress management.

The initiative also integrated key national campaigns, including the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan to encourage a drug-free lifestyle, and Yoga 365, where students were taught simple de-stressing yoga techniques. Additionally, students received career guidance exploring professional opportunities within the AYUSH sector.

The engaging programme, which concluded with a health quiz and prize distribution, was attended by 60 participants, including students and teaching staff.
