Our Curriculum

School Curriculum & Scheme of Studies

Our academic structure from Primary to Senior Secondary levels follows the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) designed by NCERT and strictly adheres to the assessment criteria mandated by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

1. Primary School (Foundational & Preparatory Stages)

At this level, the curriculum gradually introduces young learners to structured, graded subjects. Teaching is activity-based and interactive to keep students enthusiastic and involved.

  • Languages (NCERT Framework): English, Hindi, and Nepali (Focusing on foundational literacy and language communication).

  • Mathematics: Numerical and mathematical thinking through practical activities.

  • Environmental Studies (EVS): Integrated science and social studies concepts introduced from Class III to V.

  • Skill Subjects: Foundation Computer Education.

  • Value & Awareness (Class V onwards): Value Education (Moral Science) and General Knowledge.

2. Middle School (Class VI to VIII)

The middle school curriculum expands to build strong analytical skills and core scientific inquiry, transitioning from integrated EVS to specialized subject blocks.

  • Language 1: English

  • Language 2: Hindi

  • Language 3: Nepali

  • Mathematics: NCERT Mathematics framework (Arithmetic, basic Algebra, and Geometry).

  • Science: NCERT Integrated Science split into basic units of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

  • Social Science: History (Our Pasts), Civics (Social and Political Life), and Geography (The Earth Our Habitat).

  • Skill & Co-Curriculars: Computer Education (Coding basics), Physical & Health Education, and Creative Clubs (Art, Music, Dance, Science Club, ECO Club, Literary Club, and Heritage Club).

3. Secondary School (Class IX & X)

Students follow the strict Secondary School Curriculum prescribed by the CBSE Board. Evaluation shifts toward competency-focused testing. Students take the following six code-registered subjects:

  1. English (Language & Literature)

  2. Vernacular Language: Nepali or Hindi

  3. Mathematics: * Note: As per CBSE guidelines, students can opt for either Mathematics Basic or Mathematics Standard based on their aptitude and higher education plans.

  4. Science: Comprehensive NCERT curriculum covering theory and practicals for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

  5. Social Science: History (India and the Contemporary World), Geography (Contemporary India), Political Science (Democratic Politics), and Economics.

  6. Skill Subject: Information Technology (IT)

4. Senior Secondary School: Science Stream (Class XI & XII)

Our Senior Secondary block aligns with the CBSE All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE). We offer a specialized, rigorous Science Stream supported by full NCERT syllabus mapping and formal practical laboratory coursework:

  • Compulsory Core Language: English Core

  • Core Elective Sciences (PCM / PCB Combinations):

    • Physics (Theory & Practicals)

    • Chemistry (Theory & Practicals)

    • Mathematics and/or Biology (Theory & Practicals)

  • Elective Languages: Nepali or Hindi

  • Technical Elective: Computer Science (Python programming and data networks as per the latest CBSE curriculum)

  • Physical Well-being: Physical Education
