Our Culture of Respect

Enrolment in Baha'i School, Tadong implies on the part of pupils and parents, a willingness to comply with the requirements and regulations of the school. The Principal has the right to suspend attendance or require the withdrawal of any pupil, without having to assign any reasons, provided that she is satisfied that such a step is necessary in the interest of the school.

  1. Students are answerable to the school authorities for their conduct both in school and outside. They ought to conduct themselves in a manner worthy of their dignity.

  2. No students shall leave the school premises without the permission of the Principal.

  3. Any student involved in fights, drugs/alcohol, smoking, stealing, rowdyism, rude behaviour, etc. will incur automatic suspension after the 1st warning or be suspended for one week immediately. The same is applicable to those who run away from the school or home.

  4. All the students are urged to be in school at least 15 minutes before assembly. Soon after the assembly bell, the school gate will be locked and latecomers will be asked to go home at their own risk.

  5. No students shall visit restaurants in school uniform.

  6. Students who bunk classes shall automatically be dismissed from the school.

  7. It has been noticed that students who stay as paying guests and those staying in rented rooms and hostels make a practice of going home during weekends. Students remaining absent on Mondays (first working day) and Fridays (last working day of the week) without prior information shall come along with their parent (father/mother) on the following day. A student absent on the first day of term or absent for five days in succession without prior permission may have their names removed from the register.

  8. Students must return to school after the holidays on the appointed day and be present on the opening and closing days.

  9. Students have to show interest in all the co-curricular activities of the school.

  10. To ensure regularity, medical appointments should be made on weekly holidays. Should this not be possible and the appointment has to be made on a school day, prior permission must be taken from the Principal (except in emergency cases).

  11. Staff and students, as we all strive to attain human being fully alive in one family of the Almighty, we all try to show due respect and friendly behaviour in all our dealings.

  12. Students shall speak softly in the school premises as well as while they walk on the road.

  13. Letter writing and exchange of gifts among students, either to fellow students or to teachers, is strictly forbidden.

  14. Celebrations of any kind, be it birthdays of teachers or students, are not allowed in classrooms.

  15. No periodicals, pictures, cameras, phones, newspapers, CDs, DVDs, mobile phones, or iPods shall be brought into the school without the permission of the Principal. If students are found with any of the above articles, they will not be given back.

  16. No wristwatches, jewellery, or makeup, except small earrings (girls), should be worn in the school. Class IX and above may use small ordinary wristwatches.

  17. Bleaching hair, sporting large nails, using nail polish, and eyebrow tweezing are not allowed. The use of perfume is strictly forbidden.

  18. Students are responsible for the safe custody of their books and belongings.

  19. English, which is the medium of instruction in the school, should be used at all times in the school premises.

  20. Chewing gum, chocolates, packet food, junk food, and tobacco products in any form in the school or around the campus are strictly prohibited.

  21. A student who wants to go out of the classroom for any reason should obtain permission from the incoming/outgoing subject teacher.

  22. The school is not responsible for any student before and after school hours.

  23. The School Diary is a personal record of each student and should be taken to school daily.

  24. Students should treat their school-mates as brothers/sisters.
